Adding Depth To A Miniature Village
I love miniature villages! I get lost in them, really. This year when I started setting up my village, I realized that I wanted some added depth. So I set off on a quest to find something that I could put directly on my wall. But I didn't want just any pre-printed design. I wanted to be able to paint it myself to match the different areas of my village. The picture above shows how I was able to add some depth to my cemetery with silohouettes of tombstones, trees and bats.
I found what I was looking for at a local hardware store, and for under $3!
It's called Sure Swatch. It's designed to test out paint colors on your walls before you commit to a color. So it is meant to be put on the wall without damaging it. The packaging says not to leave it up for more than two weeks, but I have tested it for a month. It came off without incident, leaving no residue. Now the possibilities are only limited to your imagination!
